9-5-19: Thank you for waiting.. Hurricane Dorian has set things back a bit. However, your project is being packed and will send out asap.

9-6-19: And away they go. Fed Ex is as busy as the Holiday around here. due to Hurricane back up. So beware they may take a bit to get there. Thank you…

9-12-19: Welcome back! Thank you for the additional business. The items will set sail soon.

9-16-19: Good News! Your projectt has been packed and is ready for drop off at Fed Ex in tomorrow. Thanks again for the return visit. Please send in pic of them installed. Cheers!

9-22-19: Thanks for return business The next stage of the game is about to start. Stay tuned on the updates on the Nebraska screen surround. Cheers!.

9-24-19: So the journey begins and starts to take shape. Found some interesting Orange Tree stock in 2 x 4 nominal form. Quite the species (awesome)… More soon.

9-25-19: And the beat goes on… Let’s let the glue set and then do the cleats. Then it’s ship-O-clock time.

9-26-19: Good News! The project is done. Looks like will ship either Fri or Sat via Fed Ex. There still is a bit to update on this status page as to the mapping of the arrangement. Nothing too confusing but it will take time on my end. Look for it soon. In the meantime, here are some pics.

9-29-19: They will go out via Fed Ex on Monday after all. Please see your email for the tracking numbers. Here are a few pics of how they go together.

The plates mend the two 12” x 24” panels together. They are marked on the back and pretty self-explanatory (screws included). Since there is no substrate they are a little wobbly so be careful carrying them. Hold them from the top. The cleats are the same as the others just with a bigger hanging template.

See the loose suggested layout drawing for reference. It should be pretty easy and quick. Thanks again for the return business and please send in pics of the completed studio build.

Suggestion: if it is difficult to center the 24” x 24” panels on the brick with the cleats. Possibly mount a piece of plywood (as deadwood) to the brick first with Tap Con Screws. Then mount the cleats to the plywood to find the center. The plywood could be slightly smaller than the 24” x 24” area (say 18” x 18”) and stained to blend to the brick background.

10-3-19: Thank you for stopping back. Your project will be under soon. Shouldn’t take too long. More later.

10-8-19: Getting there. Let’s let it glue up.

10-10-19: Thank you once again! Your project is complete and heading on out tomorrow.

6-24-20: Thanks for stopping back by. Glad to be part of Phase 3 of the Studio build. You are up next and in prep. Nothing to see yet, byt soon. Cheers!

6-25-20: Moving along with plenty of stock.

6-28-20: Things are moving along. 10 sf are in the “beginning to look like something” stage. More will take shape soon.

7-1-20: 20 more taking shape and on the scene looking lean… Most likely the rest will be well underway this long holiday weekend. So the ship date could be as early as mid-next week.

7-4-20: 20 Even more taking shape and on the scene looking leaner… Now all 36 are flying up. From there the final touches (sans cleats). Group shoe soon.

7-5-20: More and more on the rise… Still a lot of sanding and finish work to do. However, it is all downhill from here, Interesting thing-since the backs do not need a cleat to hang on the ceiling, that opens up another design element. The panels can be hung in the same direction or cross-hatched. The cross-hatched makes an X and diamond. So the choice is your on how to lay them out… Here are a few pics of options.

7-9-20: and everything is sanded and ready to go. LOTS of nails and staples went into these to insure a solid foundation for the ceiling installation. There are barebacked without cleats to mount flat onto the backer board. Should be a breeze. Thanks again….send pic when you can. Cheers!
